[OpenAM] forgot password reset via distauth module

Hello,

I'd like to be able to provide password reset or "forgot password" 
functionality via the distauth modules but it's currently only bundled 
with the console. There's currently an issue opened for this, 
OPENAM-122, but given the comment from last July the functionality will 
be provided by OpenIDM. For those of us who aren't using openidm can 
anyone provide any guidance on how to integrated this functionality into 
the distauth module?
